Here are a few tips we hope you find helpful while planning your wedding celebration....
Choosing Your Photographer
Invest in a photographer who will take the time to get to know you and your wedding dreams. This can make all the difference. Choose a seasoned professional who is experienced dealing with every type lighting environment and situation. This will ensure you receive beautiful photos from your wedding day to share with generations to come!
Embrace the Unforeseen
Wedding days are very exciting and can also be stressful at times. Keeping an open mind will allow you to embrace the beauty of your day and create beautiful lifelong memories! Having a good outlook on your wedding day, no matter the circumstance, can make it the perfect day for you and your sweetheart.
Getting Ready Photos
Take time to visualize how you want your getting ready time on your wedding day to flow. Try to make that time as peaceful and stress free as possible for yourself. Whether you prefer getting ready alone, with just a few of your closest friends or with a room full of loved ones, it's important to know ahead of time how the people in the room affect this time for you as well as your demeanor.
Hair and Makeup Trial
If you plan to do engagement photos, we highly recommend scheduling your hair and makeup trial the day of your engagement session. This will give you a more polished "glam" look for your photos. :)
Portraits
Creative portraits between the two of you are one of the most important parts of your wedding day! Good portraits take time, because of this we recommend carving out at-least 30-60 minutes for photos of the two of you alone. Keep in mind, portraits require patience and sometimes being a little bit adventurous as well! :)
Reception lighting
The more light you add the better! We love candles, chandeliers, uplighting (pink, purple, blue and red photograph best). For a romantic feel, candles add a warm romantic vibe.
Outdoor Reception
For an open outdoor reception we recommend adding as much light as possible. Candles and strands of twinkle lights always photograph well.
Outdoor Ceremonies
The best time to schedule an outdoor ceremony is 2 hours prior to the sun setting. This will ensure a softer light for your images.
